This is a favorite quote

This is one of my favorite quotes, maybe its the time of year but to feel that the warmth and joy of summer can live on inside us, even in the face of gray days and the general angst of life is a good thing. However, on a lighter note, this is another favorite quote, pulled from one of the funniest comedy sketches I've ever seen. This is from Monty Python's well known Dead Parrot Sketch. Man tries to return a dead bird to pet shop, only to be told that the parrot is pining for the fjords and not really dead. Then in a brillant moment of frustration John Clease spouts this beauty.

This is an EX-parrot!
"It's not pining, it's passed on. This parrot is no more. It has ceased to be. It's expired and gone to meet its maker. This is a late parrot. It's a stiff. Bereft of life, it rests in peace. If you hadn't nailed it to the perch, it would be pushing up the daisies. Its metabolic processes are now of interest only to historians! He's off the twig! He's kicked the bucket, he's shuffled off his mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the choir invisible! This is an ex-parrot!"
John Cleese

So for every time you've every tried to complain about a bad product I leave you with this thought, at least its not a ex-parrot.

I really love the summer/winter quote. It's a great one to hang on to.
